I'm a tattoo artist located in Mokínstsis (Calgary), Alberta

I’m currently in my second year of tattooing. All of my tattoos are machine made. If you'd like to see my healed work, please go to the highlight 'healed' on my instagram.

You can view my available designs in the ‘flash’ and ‘repeat flash’ highlights on my instagram. I prioritize flash but do take on custom projects if I feel it aligns with my work. I’m also happy to make variations of past flash I’ve made.

✽ Flash ✽
'Flash' is a pre designed piece by me either repeatable (tattooed more than once) or one of a kind (tattooed only once). I am open to changing/adding colours to flash pieces.

✽ Customs ✽
I’m open to take on custom requests that reflect my interests and artistic integrity. I will not recreate another artists work unless you have proof of approval from the original artist. Customs I love but are not limited to: birds, animals, bugs, pendants, botanicals, ornamental, folk, pyrex, vintage + kitsch, retro cartoons/characters, cottage core, 60's-70's retro. 

✽ Pricing ✽
All pieces are flat rated and are listed with each piece. For custom requests you will be given a quote once your request is approved.

✽ Deposit ✽
I require a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve your appointment. The deposit goes towards the payment of your tattoo. Deposit is forfeited on cancellations and last minute reschedules.

✽ Reschedules/Cancellations ✽
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please give me fair notice. If given enough notice your deposit will carry over to the next appointment. No shows won't be booked again.

✽ Payment ✽
I accept cash or e-transfer. 

 ✽ Size ✽
Each piece is posted with a min size. You're welcome to go larger but I will not go smaller. This is to ensure your pieces holds up well over time, as skin ages and ink spreads. At the appointment I'll have pre printed sizes for you to chose from.

✽ Placement ✽
Arms, legs and torso's are welcome. 
I do not tattoo: necks, faces, heads, butts, genitals, hands or feet. This is because I am not as experienced with these placements.

✽ Colour Test ✽
If you'd like to book a colour test in order to see how colours will work and heal with your skin tone, you can email me to request one. 
I charge a sliding scale $5-$30 supply fee for this. If you’re wondering what colour tests look like  - google ‘colour test tattoo’. We can always get creative!

✽ Touch Up ✽
If your piece is at least one month healed, you can request a touch up. Touch ups are free. Sometimes ink can fall out or healing 

✽ Health and Safety Policies ✽
Masks are encouraged. Please reschedule if you're feeling unwell, you will be turned away if you come sick.

✽ Accessibility ✽
-Masks can be provided and all artists are happy to mask up if you require. We can have anywhere from 2-8 people (artists incl.) in the space at a time. Just let us know ahead of time so we can be ready for you! :)

-If you require any accommodations or specific mobility needs, please let me know so I can make the appointment as comfortable as possible. 

-I have a thick comfy massage bed that is 32" inches wide and is built to support bodies of all weights.

-Our building is wheelchair accessible through the back of our building. Email me and I can send you photos/videos to ensure it works for you.

-You're welcome to bring headphones or earplugs if you're bothered by the general shop noise or just wanna listen to your own tunes.

The # 3, #4, and #69 are the closest buses with stations nearby.

Our shop is wheelchair accessible from the back. Contact us or your artist ahead of time to ensure our setup works for you as there is a bit of a decline from the road. The front of our shop is up one step and through 2 non-automatic doors. It is not currently wheelchair accessible. We have two bathrooms each equipped with railings, though they are quite narrow. All artists will wear medical masks upon request for clients who require a fully masked space. We supply extra masks if needed.

We are committed to creating a welcoming space free of discrimination or harassment! Racism, transphobia, homophobia, fatphobia, ableism, etc. will not be tolerated. this applies to clients + artists entering the studio. Our studio is open concept - therefore we ask that conversations be kept appropriate or ask for consent regarding sensitive or potentially triggering topics. This is out of respect to everyone in the space.

What's Next?

Thank you for your interest! Once you submit the request, angelaesmythtattoo will review your submission as soon as possible. If your project is accepted, you will receive an email from Tato indicating that your appointment is ready to be booked. This email may include a smaller note from the artist and an estimated time duration for your appointment. Based on this information, you can find a day and time that works for you and confirm the appointment.
